Pain Management

Chronic pain management therapy must be individualized for each patient. The goal of this therapy is to relieve pain while minimizing the side effects of the medication. Patient satisfaction with pain relief is the most important goal and will be assessed and monitored by your Nation’s Infusion at Home nurse and pharmacist.

Special devises have been developed to administer these drugs in the most effective way. Pain medications can be given by continuous infusion through a Patient Control Analgesia (PCA) pump. If your drug does not seem strong enough and you are experiencing pain, contact your Nation’s Infusion at Home nurse or pharmacist.

Your Nation’s Infusion at Home nurse and pharmacist will provide all instructions necessary regarding infusion techniques and procedures to maximize independence and minimize interference in your normal daily activities.
